Stanford University offers an MS in computer science that can potentially be completed entirely online. Students in this program will complete coursework covering the fundamental aspects of computer science and deepen their expertise in at least one specialized area of study.
Students must fulfill breadth requirements, including two different areas of depth. Approved specializations include artificial intelligence; computational biology; computer and network security; human-computer interaction; information management and analytics; software theory; systems; theoretical computer science; and visual computing. While most specializations require attending some in-person classes, students can complete the AI, information management and analytics, and systems specializations entirely online.
